Keep your Alectra account current during ongoing mail delivery delays
Although Canada Post employees are now back to work, effective November 27, the postal disruption over the past few months has caused a significant backlog, and mail delivery may continue to be delayed throughout the holiday season. As an Alectra customer you still are responsible for paying your monthly bill. To avoid any potential late fees, we encourage you to choose an electronic payment method like on-line banking, tele-banking and pre-authorized payments. Login to My Account to view your account online and to register online for ebilling.
For customers who have participated in FIT or microfit programs and are anticipating the delivery of recurring refund cheques, consider signing up for autopay to avoid delivery delays.

We have now made it more convenient than ever to pay your bills offering the following convenient payment methods. Customers paying their Alectra Utilities bills online are reminded to select their former utility (Brampton Hydro) as the payee.
This option is available through most banks and trust companies. It allows you to pay your bill through the internet.
This option is available through most banks and trust companies. It allows you to pay your bill by use of your touch-tone phone.
Most Chartered Banks and Financial Institutions
Payments can be made at your local bank or trust company during their normal office hours.
Pre-Authorized Payments (PAP)
You can save time and money by having your payments automatically deducted from your bank account on or about the same day each month.
On December 1, 2018 you have a new 10-digit Alectra account number and will need it to use this credit card payment service. You have a new look bill too; the account number is in the top left corner.
If you don’t know your new 10-digit Alectra account number:

Credit Card Payments
Alectra provides customers with two quick and easy ways to make electricity account bill payments by VISA, MasterCard or American Express. For more information about bill payment by credit card, read our frequently asked questions.
1. By web payment:
Choose one of the credit cards below. You will be transferred to a secure web page powered by our bill payment partner, Paymentus.
- Enter the payment information including your account number, credit card details and payment amount.
- You will be prompted to confirm that you agree to pay a convenience fee.
- Once all the information is entered, click on "Make Payment".
- You will receive a confirmation number if the transaction is successful.
MoneyGram is a money transfer service that allows you to safely and quickly pay your bill using cash or debit card. It is available at more than 6,000 Canada Post offices and some grocery and drug stores. Same day bill payment service is $9.99 and next day bill payment service is $3.99. You can find a MoneyGram agent near you on Canada Post's website at www.canadapost.ca/moneygram or call MoneyGram directly at 1-800-MoneyGram (1-800-666-3947).
